The museum's media guide, which is furnished with the awiloc® positioning and navigation technology developed by Fraunhofer IIS, provides visitors additional information in the form of videos and images, as well as the story behind the exhibits and how they were arranged.
This allows interested visitors to design their own museum experience and display their current position on the media guide, which is controlled by the awiloc® software. At the beginning of each museum segment, a picture of the respective room appears on the media guide display. Visitors then decide what type of supplementary or background information they wish to call up using the touch screen.
The media guide was developed in 2012 by xpedeo.
