Platforms as building blocks for future chips
The IC Design Ecosystem of the Bavarian Chip Design Center consists of five business platforms that are specifically geared towards the needs of customers, especially SMEs and start-ups:
- Chip Solutions: Together against obsolescence and chip shortages
- Chiplet Systems: Simple, cost-effective access to solutions with non-monolithic chiplet systems
- Digital Signal Processing: Low-threshold access to innovative chip solutions for digital signal processing and microprocessors as system-on-chips
- Secure System-on-Chip: Open and secure process platform
- Sensor & Actuator Systems and AI: Innovative, integrated solutions for sensor & actuator systems and integrated, efficient AI
The main goal of the ecosystem is to enable accessible and efficient chip development from feasibility to failure analysis by shortening development time and reducing development costs. This is achieved through the development of specifications, the design of ASICs and systems, the development of IP blocks and the reuse of already developed components.
