Project Groups are smaller units within Fraunhofer IIS that have the potential to grow into a department, research establishment or an institute.
Within the Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen Research Center for Complex Material Systems (RCCM) the Fraunhofer project group collaborates with both the university research group and the Development Center for X-ray Technology EZRT.
Fraunhofer IIS has been working very closely with the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg since 2011. In close collaboration with the Chair for Business Administration, particularly in the area of supply chain management (SCM), this group carries out research in the following fields: utilizing cyber physical systems in value chains, economic impact of digitalization on personal and work lives, models/methods/market knowledge for the development of IT services in logistics and SCM.
Fraunhofer IIS is working with individual schools at Bamberg University to create a center for business models in the digital world. The business models will be examined from various perspectives with the aim of helping companies prepare their organizations to meet the challenges of tomorrow's digital world.
