Positioning in Car Parks

Conventional positioning systems do not work in car parks because GPS-signals are not able to penetrate buildings. The car park positioning system from the Fraunhofer IIS is a fusion of awiloc, GPS, inertial sensor data and motion models. The integration of all available position and movement information eliminates the disadvantages of the individual technologies. The seamless positioning based on mobile devices also works on other plattforms and systems.
