Digital Signal Processing

Low-threshold access to innovative chip solutions for digital signal processing and microprocessors as system-on-chips

The Digital Signal Processing platform offers low-threshold access to innovative chip solutions for digital signal processing and microprocessors as system-on-chips. We are innovation leaders in the competence areas of ultra-low power, trusted electronics, high performance and RISC-V.

We develop application-specific chip solutions for small and medium-sized companies and start-ups as well as for all companies with a high level of innovation. In this way, we increase the competitiveness of our customers and secure the technological sovereignty of our semiconductor ecosystem. In addition, we offer an extensive IP portfolio of ready-made circuit blocks of RISC-V components, accelerators for AI and signal processing, peripheral IPs and much more, which we are constantly expanding and updating. Our customers include system developers, system integrators, design houses and semiconductor manufacturers in the IT, plant and automation engineering, medical technology, automotive and many other sectors.

Thanks to our many years of experience in digital chip design, we are able to offer industry-compatible first-time-right designs of highly flexible DSP solutions and RISC-V subsystems. However, we also provide support in all areas of chip design separately, from consulting, design and verification to back-end implementation, as required. Our design services are always at the cutting edge of technology development and we always use the latest design tools.

Our value propositions include:

  • a scalable consulting service on the latest technologies from orientation interview to feasibility study
  • application-specific chip design services including instruction set extensions and customizations
  • turnkey solutions, where we take over the entire process from design to cost-effective production via Multi Wafer Project (MPW) through our IC supply chain services with subsequent qualification of the chips.

Our R&D project content focuses on innovative solutions, which we constantly adapt to current market requirements in collaboration with our customers and partners. We are researching the development of 32-bit and 64-bit RISC-V subsystems for low-power and demanding deep-embedded applications, innovative methods for the efficient transition from FPGA to ASIC implementations, and we are continuously developing our IP modular system for short time-to-market cycles.

Future offers Digital Signal Processing - Research areas

Offers are currently being developed for these research areas. Would you like to support us in tailoring the offers to your needs? Then please contact Gerald Moser with your suggestions and for further information.

And what needs do you have?

»As a product developer, I would like to move my discrete analog and digital implementation to a dedicated integrated chip as my current implementation with an FPGA has power dissipation issues and space limitations. This will allow me to optimize power consumption and reduce the size of my product.«

»As a mid-sized electronics manufacturer, I want to find a cost-effective solution for my discrete implementation with purchased components as it is no longer competitive in the market. This will help me stay competitive and profitable in the industry.«

»As a software development company for embedded systems, we need a microcontroller that has to be extended by certain instruction sets for our algorithms in order to achieve the necessary performance.«

»As a technology leader, I want to be able to flexibly adapt my technology to future use cases and business models using digital accelerators such as safety/security, AI or DSP. This allows me to expand the functionality of my technology and stay one step ahead in the rapidly evolving technology landscape.«
