Innovative, integrated solutions for sensor & actuator systems and integrated, efficient AI
Our Sensor & Actuator Systems (S/A Systems) and AI platform offers innovative and integrated solutions for sensor and actuator systems as well as efficient, integrated AI technologies. Our goal is to develop individual and highly integrated S/A systems that are specifically tailored to the needs of our customers. In addition, we are working on the development of low-power AI hardware together with ultra-low-power RISC-V MCU and on integrated sensor signal processing and the associated interfaces.
Our platform is aimed at Bavarian companies, especially start-ups and SMEs, that need solutions for sensor systems (high-frequency sensor systems, optical sensor systems, GaN-based sensor systems and sensor-actuator systems such as ultrasonic sensors/actuators), sensor signal processing or integrated AI.
A key unique selling point of BCDC is our specific expertise in sensor and actuator technologies. We offer capacities in the production of MEMS technology steps. In addition, we have many years of expertise in the integration of sensor/actuator elements in semiconductor chips. Our existing IP portfolio includes a variety of sensors, actuators, ADC/DAC, low-power receivers, RISC-V MCU and neuromorphic circuits.
Our value propositions include feasibility studies on integrated S/A systems, where we evaluate the technical and economic feasibility. In addition, we offer comprehensive consulting, development and implementation of integrated, efficient AI, especially on neuromorphic hardware. Our design support includes the selection of semiconductor technologies and the design of integrated S/A systems. We also support the testing and characterization of integrated sensors and actuators and advise on the commissioning of our solutions.
In the area of research and development within BCDC, we focus on the development and expansion of an innovative IP portfolio in the areas of mixed-signal, analog, power management and high-frequency circuits. We are working on the development of integrated, low-power AI methods, in particular neuromorphic hardware. In addition, we are researching innovative design methods to further improve the performance of complex, integrated S/A systems, for example using 2.5D and 3D integration.
